Porsche Design 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue and Leather After launching the 1919 Chronotimer Flyback in brown and leather two years ago, Porsche Design is now offering a new navy blue look – the 1919 Chronotimer Flyback Blue and Leather.
The watch comes with a blue Porsche leather strap with grey stitching and a folding clasp that opens with a push button, and features a dark blue dial with white accents and Super-LumiNova-coated hour markers and hands. As before, the watch is housed in a lightweight 42mm titanium case that has been polished and glass-bead-blasted to remove any deposits from its surface.
The new blue version is still powered by the Porsche Design Calibre WERK 01.200, the brand’s first in-house movement. The movement is equipped with a flyback function that allows the chronograph to be quickly restarted; the chronograph continues to run, meaning that the movement can measure consecutive time intervals.
The movement is certified by the Swiss Official Observatory (COSC) and has integrated seconds, minutes and hours counters as well as a date window at 4 o'clock. Through the sapphire crystal case back, you can observe the operation of the black tungsten movement, which highlights the Porsche design style and has a power reserve of 48 hours.
The front and back of the watch are made of hard-coated sapphire crystal mirrors, which are scratch-resistant and have been treated with seven anti-glare treatments. The case is water-resistant to a depth of 10 meters.
